The US Army tests the new electric scope of the rifle, does not allow soldiers to fire bullets if the target is not on target - Telegraph
American soldiers who have "landed" in Syria are testing the new electronic scope of the automatic rifle, which will not allow them to shoot until the electronic system detects and makes sure that the bullet will hit the target.
It is about the SMASH 200 scope that calculates the trajectory of the bullet when fired at a certain target, enabling soldiers to first "mark" the target, and then touch a button near the trigger of the rifle, Telegraph reports.
When the soldier is ready to fire, the system determines if their mark is on target and if it is not correct according to the calculations, the rifle will not fire even if the trigger is pulled by the soldier.
At the US military's al-Tanf test range in Syria near the border with Jordan and Iraq, soldiers used SMASH 2000 binoculars to target small drones moving through the sky.
This type of binoculars has previously been used in the field by the Israel Defense Forces, but according to manufacturer Smart Shooter Ltd, this marks its first use in Syria. /Telegraph/
